Issue | Possible solutions… |
#COM (Communication Error) | The data point is resolved, but not communicating with the device. - Reconfigure the driver
- Service the device in case of malfunction
- Reconnect the device
- Verify device wired properly

#REF (Reference Error) | Symbol cannot be located. - Check file shares and permissions
- Confirm if Symbols still exist (not deleted)
- Confirm Symbols converted to SVG, or
- To convert the Symbol to SVG, in the management station, run the Consistency Checker tool:
- Task: File Conversion - Conversion Method: ToSvg - Path Symbols: libraries\*ccs - Force Conversion: True

Graphics not displaying in a distributed environment. | In SMC, under System > Services verify that the GMS_WCCILpmon_[ProjectName]service isconfigured with the Windows user with Log on as a service rights. This enables the WSI to have access to the files via the share. |
Graphics not displaying changes made on the server. | - Clear the browser cache. Steps vary depending on browser and device type.
- Restart the browser session.

Graphics not displaying properly in the Firefox browser. | Disable the Firefox Hardware acceleration feature. |
The following do not display or open as expected: - Tooltips
- Windows applications
| These are limitations of the Graphics Viewer in the Flex Client. Currently there are no workarounds. |
Symbol References not displaying properly on a graphic. | Symbol Reference property with evaluations applied are not supported in the Flex Client. - Re-engineer the graphic with a set of Symbol instances, each with an evaluation on the Visible property, determining under which conditions it should display in the Flex Client.
