EN 50160 Grid Code
The status of the measured characteristics is indicated as a Limit violation, warning, and All OK below the cards. The status of the characteristics is based on the percentage of the duration of the violation. The EN 50160 standard has defined Grid Code limits for how long the violation can last. The percentage of the duration of the violation and status according to EN 50160 is given in the table below:
Characteristics | Limit Violation | Warning | All Ok |
Frequency | > 0.5% | 0 % to 0.5 % | 0 |
Voltage (Un > 1 KV) | >1 % | 0 % to 1 % | 0 |
Voltage (Un < 1 KV) | > 5 % | 0 % to 5 % | 0 |
Flicker, Voltage THD, and Voltage unbalance | > 5 % | 0 % to 5 % | 0 |
Voltage harmonics | > 5 % | 0 % to 5 % | 0 |
Voltage events | Not applicable | > 0 | 0 |
Voltage sag | Not applicable | > 0 | 0 |
Harmonic Violation Limits
The percentage of the duration of the harmonic violation and status according to EN 50160 is given in the table below:
