User Sessions
This section provides background information for User Sessions. For procedures or workflows, see the step-by-step section.
User Session displays information about all currently active user sessions on the management station. If “Administrate” security privilege is active, you can also delete a current user session using the End Session button.
The user session view includes several columns of information about each session:
Column Name | Description |
User | Name of logged-in user |
Station | Station where user is logged in |
Type | Session type, for example “Primary Web” |
Profile | Profile name for active user |
Logon Time | Start time for a session |
State | Is the session active? |
Access Point | Displays the client in use by the user. For example: Installed Client, Windows App Client. If the client entry point is via the WSI, the Instance Name (Instance Number) displays. For example: Default Instance (77) |
When you click on any given row in the user session view, several additional data points can be accessed from the Property Viewer (right-hand panel.) These include:
- Default Domain Name: Displays the domain name of a logged in session.
- Session Timeout: Allows you to specify the time period (i.e. in minutes), after which the session is ended.
- Single Sign-On Token Lifetime:Displays the time period for which the SSO token is valid.
